This
animated short about consumer culture is simplified, but quite interesting. Of course, it bashes how materialistic America has become. The main message is that we're trapped in a vicious cycle where we work too much, watch TV to console ourselves, then the TV reminds us how inadequate our possessions are, we buy stuff, and then we have to work more to pay for it. And we pollute the earth pursuing our materialism. The video would work well for a high school class.
