A theoretical physics contest

I read about about the LHC Olympics at Lubos Motl's blog. It's a really neat idea: some really smart senior particle theorists make up LHC (Large Hadron Collider) data and then other phenomenologists (e.g. graduate students) have to try and figure out which model fits the data the best.

I wonder if it would be possible to do this kind of contest in condensed matter theory.
